WHY PARENTING LIKE OUR PARENTS DOESN’T WORK

We never want to throw shame towards our parents, but as today’s guest Susan Morley shares we simply can’t parent like they did.

Even if you had the best childhood, we live in a different world and that means we need different tools into our toolbox.

Susan, a parenting coach, is passionate about helping moms with spirited kids break the cycle of yelling, punishing, and spanking so they can have a great relationship with their kid who respects their authority all without damaging their spirited child's natural personality.

On this episode, we walk through what needs to change, strategies that we can implement (and which ones we shouldn’t), and get real about the amount of stress parents face in this demanding world.

ESSENTIAL MINUTE | YLANG YLANG

Anger can get the best of us sometimes, even when we don’t want to admit it.

Susan shared a powerful story that stopped her in her tracks and a lot of moms may have a similar one in their minds. Yet, she shared some great strategies so we don’t get to that point.

But Ylang Ylang is another tool you can use to help reduce feelings of anger. It is used most often in aromatherapy because of the calming properties it has. Just by smelling this oil, it can help promote positivity and relaxation which is due to the sedative properties that can help regulate our heart rate and keep our body clam.

One little note- you don’t need very much!
